Plainville Easy Ice and Trans Pacific Oil open in Plainville; Susie Q’s in Stockton

Several new businesses have opened in July, 2023 in Rooks County. 

Plainville Easy Ice is a new ice and water vending business located at the corner of U.S. 183 Highway and Kansas Highway 18 (in the Papa’s Corner parking lot).  The Everest VX 3 Ice/Water vending machine is able to vend ice and purified water 24/7 with the option to bag your ice or vend straight into your cooler. The new business is owned by JMC Enterprises, LLC (Justin & Megan Casey of Plainville).  

 

 

 

A new business transitioning in July, 2023 in Plainville is Trans Pacific Oil, located at 904 W. Mill St.   The new business is in the former location of James P Williams Enterprises.  Trans Pacific has been a part of the oil industry since 1980. As a privately owned independent company, Trans Pacific has the platform, the history and the flexibility to take advantage of the opportunities that make the Mid-Continent attractive for investment and growth.

 

 

Opening in Stockton in mid-April 2023, is Susie Q’s food truck.  Owned and operated by Susie Woodard, the food truck is located at the 200 block of S. Cedar, across by J-Mart Convenience.  Susie’s specialty is burgers, keeping her menu simple, with different varieties such as hickory cheddar, mushroom Swiss, and others.  Meats are purchased locally.  Susie Q’s hours are 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday.  You can call in an order at 785-425-8473.  Check her out on Facebook @SusieQs.
