A new business in Plainville, Paradise Flats Quilt Company, has officially started operations. Owner Nichole Ganoung is the one-woman-show behind the new business operating out of a rural Plainville home. She enjoys life on the farm and a slower pace of life with gorgeous sunsets, dirt roads and cows.
Sewing has roots in Nichole’s family. Her grandma and aunts were/are accomplished sewists. When she was younger, she sewed garments in 4-H with their help, but then didn’t sew for many years. Nichole began her quilting journey about 13 years ago when she was asked to make a single quilt block for a family wedding quilt. After that, she was hooked!
