New businesses, New construction, New plans

A lot of new activity is going on in Rooks County as Spring 2022 comes into focus.  

Perfect4U Prints is a new, mostly online business in Plainville operated by Paula and Dave Koehler.  Many will know Paula and Dave as owners of their food truck business for 28 years.  This new business specializes in Custom Printing and Personalization, Sublimation and Vinyl, T-Shirts and other apparel, Hats, Blankets, Mugs, License Plates, Tumblers and more to come.  Visit their Facebook page to find out more or to make an order. 

A new business has recently opened, albeit in a temporary location.  Coco the Label is a new business owned and operated by Daneen and Peyton Keller of Stockton.  The business is a boutique and offer women, teen, children, toddler and baby clothing and accessories along with some cute home decor.  They are currently located at the former Twig & Vine location of 406 Main in Stockton.  Check out their Facebook page, their website, or email to bycocothelabel@gmail.com

 

Now under construction in Stockton is the new Solomon Valley Manor nursing home.  Construction started in February, 2022 and is already slightly ahead of schedule.  The new facility will be located just to the north of the existing facility at 315 S. Ash and will feature new nursing home design and additional capacity.  SVM is operated by the City of Stockton.  

 

 

Already under construction is a new Child Care facility in Plainville.  The new child care building will be moved on to the foundation located on the vacant lot immediately west of the USD #270 cafeteria.  It will also have access directly to U.S. Highway 183.  USD #270 will operate the new facility.  A grant from the Dane G. Hansen Foundation was received, making the new building possible.

It was also announced that a second grant has been received to build a new Pre-school building next to the new Child Care facility.  This is Phase II of the schools’ Early Childhood Expansion Project.
