The Rooks County Free Fair, the “Fair of Champions”, is one of the longest-running county fairs in the state of Kansas.  Running for nearly 140 years, the fair always features the best of entertainment, including motorcycle races, stock car races, demolition derby, musical entertainment, exhibits, displays, and a week-long carnival on the midway.

A well-woman clinic is held at the Health Dept. monthly, call for an appointment.  Various forms of contraception are available for those who have had an annual exam.  Cost is based on income.  Uninsured women over 40 may be eligible for free pap smear and women over 50 may be eligible for free mammograms.
