The Red Line Cruisers Annual Cruise Night & Car Show will be held on Mill Street and Highway 183 in Plainville on May 3 & 4, 2024.  Cruise Night will be held on Friday, May 3 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.  The Poker Run will be held that same night from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m.  The Car Show will be held on Saturday, May 4 with registration from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. and awards given out at 2 p.m.   Click on this link: Red Line Cruisers to access the flyer with all the details on awards and registration.

May 4 & 5, 2024 is OK KIDS Day at Webster State Park.  Contact the park office at 785-425-6775 for details on the fun day. 

The Annual Peony Festival will be held in Stockton throughout the town on May 18, 2024.  Events throughout the day include a peony tours, parade, demonstrations, kids activities, self-guided tours, vendors, and more.  Contact the Stockton Chamber of Commerce for more details at stocktonchamber@ruraltel.net.

Palco Art Club Annual Workshop and Exhibit is held the first week of June.  Stay tuned for location.

rodeoParadise Creek Festival, held in Plainville the second weekend of June, includes a professional rodeo, games, craft vendors, free bbq, and much more. In 2024, the event will be held June 7, 8, and 9. For details and updates on the event, go to www.paradisecreekfest.com

 

 

Stockton will host their Swing into Summer Fest and Car Show June 14 & 15, 2024. The event begins with a Cruise Night on Friday from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. The car show on Saturday begins with registration at 8 a.m. For more information on the car show, contact Dean or Libby Kester at 785-425-8430. Red Fest is a new event being held in Stockton on June 22, 2024.  The event will be a full day of fun including: Live music, food, games, vendors, contests, and more.  For a full schedule of events, go to their Facebook page

Codell July 4 Celebration Codell holds an annual July 4 celebration that includes a parade, supper, and special music.

Come celebrate 4th of July Fireworks at Webster State Park.  There is no better place in the county to observe the beauty of fireworks than at the lake.  Contact the park office at 785-425-6775 for details.

After Harvest Bash is held in Palco the last weekend in July.

August

Rooks County Free Fair is held in early August in Stockton and is one of the largest and oldest free fairs in Kansas. The “Fair of Champions” has been held annually since 1879. The Fair features agricultural, commercial, and open class exhibits, nightly entertainment that features musical artists, car and motorcycle races, demolition derby, and a carnival on the midway. September

Enjoy the Annual Webster Car Show at Webster State Park on September 14, 2024.  Come see all the great classic cars from around the area in a great setting at the state park.  Contact the park office at 785-425-6775 for details.

October

Stockton’s Pumpkin Patch will be held on October 12 & 13, 2024.  This event put on by the Stockton Chamber of Commerce features games, food, contests, pumpkin picking, vendors, and Nex-Tech train.  There is a Soup Lunch from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on both days.  Contact the Chamber at stocktonchamber@ruraltel.net for more information.

St. Joseph’s Annual Bazaar is held in Damar the second weekend of October. The event is held to benefit renovations of the St. Joseph’s church. It includes a meal, games, and entertainment. For more information go to http://sites.google.com/site/damarfallbazaar/.

Palco Halloween Carnival and Soup Supper brings together the community for costume judging, carnival games, and a soup supper. Not an annual event. Check ahead for details.

November

Stockton Olde Tyme Christmas is held the day after Thanksgiving and includes lighting of the town main street, special merchant promotions, and the arrival of Santa Claus.

Woodston Soup Supper and Auction held in early November is followed later in November with an Annual Dinner.

December

CarriageHome for the Holidays is held in Plainville before Christmas to help celebrate the coming of Christmas. Events include a visit with Santa, drawings & giveaways, soup supper, and horse-drawn carriage rides. In 2024, tentatively, the event will be held on December 14.  Stay tuned.

 

 

Damar Hometown Christmas is held each December.  Events include:  Prizes for children, Ugly Sweater Contest, Soup Supper;, Hayrack Rides, and Caroling.  Facebook @ City of Damar.
