Stockton National Bank acquires Norton bank

The Stockton National Bank has announced that they have agreed in principle to acquire First Security Bank and Trust of Norton, Kansas, effective March 4, 2014.

First Security Bank and Trust operates two (2) full-service banking offices in Norton, KS and Lenora, KS, and as of December 31, 2013, reported total assets of $63 million, total loans of $31 million and total deposits of $34 million.

The Stockton National Bank will also continue to operate First Security Bank and Trust’s insurance division which offers a complete line of person and business insurance products.  Their services range from health and life insurance, and auto and home insurance, to crop and livestock risk, farm and ranch coverage, worker’s compensation, and commercial property and liability.
