Police Officer

The Plainville Police Department is accepting applications for the position of a Full-Time Police Officer. Applicant must be at least 21 years of age and have a High School Diploma or equivalent. Applicant must have a valid Driver’s License. Applicant must not have any Felony or Serious Misdemeanor convictions. Applicant must have good communication and writing skills, be able to interact with the public in a positive way and be able to perform all duties that are required for the position. Applicant must complete and pass a pre-employment written test, background investigation, medical exam and psychological test. Salary depending on qualifications. The Plainville Police Department runs 12 hour shifts, with every other weekend off. Provides a take home vehicle and all duty equipment, including uniforms.
