The new Plainville Recreation Fitness Center is now open to the public. The Center has been in the planning stages for nearly six years, but it is now a reality. Located in the former Duckwall’s building located at on Main Street, the Center boasts recumbent cross-trainers, three treadmills, three ellipticals, three rowing machines, and three step machines. In addition, there is a stationary bicycle, two spinning bikes, and a stair climber. The Center also has many strength training machines and free weights.
There is also space in the new facility for fitness classes.
Currently the Center has limited hours from 5-8 a.m. and 5-6 p.m. each day. A 24 hour key card system is being considered.
